PTS signed The Global Compact

The United Nations Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
Agreement born on 26 July 2000 at United Nations, based on open ended binding, composing of 10 principles developed under the following themes:
- Human rights
- Rights at work
- Environment and development
- Work against corruption
The initiative has grown to more than 7700 participants, including over 5200 businesses in 130 countries around the world. PTS supports Global Compact and performs its activities in conformity with the Global Compact principles.
Global Compact Principles Human Rights
- Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights
- Make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses
Labor Standards
- Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining
- The elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labor
- The effective abolition of child labor
- The elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation
Environment
- Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environment challenges
- Undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility
- Encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies
Anti-Corruption
- Businesses should work against all forms of corruption, including extortion and bribery
The Global Compact asks participating companies to internalize the ten principles, within the compnay´s practices and undertake projects to advance broader societal goals. implementation of the principles into business is a long-term process, and the Global Compact encourages participants to follow a path of continuous improvement.
